About The Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation

Founded in 1987, The Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation is a registered 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that exists to support the mission of University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health.

The Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation supports the mission of University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health through developing relationships with individuals and organizations who wish to take part in the expansion and improvement of health care services provided in Harford County, Maryland.

Through the work of The Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation, the local community supports its hospital through philanthropic gifts, planned giving, participation in our fundraising events, community and signature, and volunteerism.

With a Board of Directors comprised of over 50 community leaders, philanthropists, volunteers, and partners, The Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation is committed to funding vital health care programs offered to the residents of Harford County, Cecil County, and Northern Baltimore County.

About the Chesapeake Cancer Alliance (CCA) 

The Chesapeake Cancer Alliance was founded in 2003 when a group of friends, interested in improving the quality of life for cancer patients in Harford County, made a commitment to raise begin raising funds to provide such services. In 2014, the Chesapeake Cancer Alliance (CCA) became part of The Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation (UCHF) family.

Working together, CCA and UCHF collaborate on fundraising initiatives and encourage philanthropic gifts from individuals, corporations, clubs and organizations, with the interest in helping cancer patients and their loved ones, right here in our community through programs and services offered by Cancer LifeNet.
