11th Annual Amanda Hichkad CCA Celebration Walk (2024)

Team Robbie

Each year, more of our friends and family are either battling cancer now, have battled and survived or battled and lost. I am once again chairing Team Robbie for the 2024 Amanda Hichkad Cancer Walk. As you know, the team is named in memory of a dear friend and avid participant in the Chesapeake Cancer Alliance who bravely battled pancreatic cancer.    We continue to channel her strength for all of our friends and family members by supporting the Cancer LifeNet program at UMUC (University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake) Kaufman Cancer Center that provided services to Robbie and her family as well as many, many other families.  Every one of us has been touched by Cancer in some way or another and have benefited from the support of doctors, fellow patients, support groups, friends and family.  The University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation provides this support for cancer patients and their families in Harford and Cecil Counties at no cost to the family no matter where their treatment was provided.
Your contribution will help to provide counseling, support groups, patient education, programs for children, referral information, and access to an extensive network of professionals to guide and advocate for patients during their treatment and recovery; all coordinated by the Cancer LifeNet program at Upper Chesapeake Health.

Consider supporting their efforts as I walk in honor of and in memory of the many friends and family who have completed treatment, are now in treatment or who have left us too soon. I thank you in advance for your continued support.
