Why I Walk

Welcome to my Page!
For those of you who may not know me, my name is Teddy Mosher and I am one of the Development & Communications Officers for the Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation. My role revolves specifically around community based fundraising, with the Amanda Hichkad CCA VIRTUAL Celebration Walk being one of the staples of my annual events calendar.
Since starting my role at the Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation, I have been very fortunate to get out and meet, interact and speak with various members of the Harford County community. One thing became very clear after my first few meetings: Harford County is a big family and treats each other as such. I joke with my fellow co-workers that HC is the "biggest small town in America".
I have also been fortunate enough through my position to work closely with the staff of Upper Chesapeake, the Kaufman Cancer Center and the Cancer LifeNet program. I was not entirely sure what Cancer LifeNet was when I accepted the position, but now I see more than ever how impactful of a program it is and how necessary it is to the local community. To be able to affect the lives of over 1,700 individuals annually using 328 unique, free-of-charge services and programs, there is simply no comparable anywhere in the USA.
So for this year's Walk, I am walking in support of the patients and families of the KCC that utilize the services provided by Cancer LifeNet. I hope you consider making as large a donation as you are able to provide, as all the proceeds from the Walk go back to helping fund Cancer LifeNet. Being that the Cancer LifeNet program is funded entirely through philanthropic dollars, every dollar donated has an impact.
If possible, I would encourage you all to come join me on Saturday, May 16th to see why this event, even if it is virtual, is a perfect embodiment of the moniker "friends and neighbors HELPING friends and neighbors".
