CCA Cancer LifeNet Walk Team
As we all know, cancer touches our family, our friends, and our community every day. The Chesapeake Cancer Alliance started in 2003 when a group of caring women decided to actively reachout to the community to raise funds to help cancer patients in Harford County. CCA joined with the Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation in 2013 to continue to make a positive difference for cancer patients and their families. The funds that we raise go directly to the Cancer LifeNet program at the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health Patricia D. & M. Scot Kaufman Cancer Center. This program provides a variety of free supportive services for the cancer patients and their families. Over the years I have heard so many stories of how grateful the recipients of these services have been because they met vital needs that were not otherwise available to them and their family members. While many people are currently dealing with the horrific Coronavirus Pandemic, cancer patients are also fighting a life-threatening cancer battle and are in great need of these critical services. Your generous donation to the 2020 Amanda Hichkad CCA Celebration Virtual Walk will support the continuation of these services for families fighting the cancer battle.
I thank you for your support of the efforts of the Chesapeake Cancer Alliance.
With much appreciation,
Gail Cook
