Welcome to Team Eller!
The Amanda Hichkad Celebration Walk is an annual event named after my late friend, neighbor, and fellow PTA mom Amanda Hichkad. She was an inspiration to everyone who knew her! Cancer LifeNet meant so much to her because she'd personally utilized many of the free programs and services. She was so grateful to have had this support system, that in the midst of her cancer battle in early 2014, she rallied thousands of local residents, myself included, to raise $100,000 for the organization that helped her and her family so very much. This became known as the first annual Amanda Hichkad CCA Celebration Walk. Although she lost her battle with metastatic cervical cancer in September 2014, her legacy lives on through this annual fundraiser for a cause that meant so much to her.
Cancer LifeNet contains a network of wellness programs designed to help local cancer patients and their families cope with their cancer journey. Anyone who resides in Harford and Cecil counties qualifies no matter where you are seeking medical treatment. There are hundreds of services and programs and they are 100% free of charge. Cancer LifeNet relies 100% on philanthropic donations and has helped many thousands of cancer patients and their families navigate their fight against cancer.
THANK YOU for visiting my team page. I know there are many worthy causes out there to support, but please consider joining my team or (you don't have to commit to walking in May, registering is a donation in and of itself), or making a donation. No amount is too small. Your support literally gives hope and wellness to people in our area during their cancer journey.
Very gratefully,
Crystal Eller
